| alright alright, i'll post already! but only because i am a pirate hooker (thanks for that mark, it made beckie and i laugh). haha, its actually been so long since i posted that it took me like 6 tries to get the right password into this baby. ah well. so, updates on life. nothing really too spectacular is going on.
school wise... its getting intense with the workload. i have alot of big papers coming up and i really just dont feel like doing them. which is too bad, because i have to do them. i am working to get straight a's this semester so that i can get my birthday present, which is an ipod. my dad never ended up getting it for me this summer for my birthday, and then somehow got this idea in his head that i could only have it if i got straight a's. which is annoying because hi, its my birthday present. but i wanted straight a's anyway because i want to graduate magna cum laude, and my gpa needs to be above a 3.5 for that and its only like 3.468 or something right now. but as of yet im rocking all a's, if i can only get those blasted papers done and do them well. other than that, school is largely uneventful.
as far as the rest of life, things are going quite well. i've been having fun this semester and thankfully not alot of drama has been going on. somethings about it have been slightly irritating, but nothing too bad. i've had alot of fun and its a good senior year. i hang out more with people who i missed last year like joey, and thats good. and also the rest of our friend group has returned more to the way it was sophomore year as far as who hangs out, and i like it alot better. its nice not to have to deal with a bunch of stupid people who i didnt really like anyway.
so, thats a brief update for now. i'd write more but i cant really think of anything important thats going on without getting into more in depth situations. mark - we should make a time to hang out. actually, this weekend jason fisher is in a play that beckie and i are going to go see and then we're planning on going out with him, so maybe you should come on down if you can and we can have a good old time of it. if not, we should pick some time to meet up and it will be fun.
| well, i noticed just now that my last two entries were rather repetitive, but i dont really care, and am infact thinking of saying the same thing again just to be annoying. ok, no im not really, but that would have been pretty cool of me.
i was in rhode island for my sister's wedding, which was lovely. its very weird to me that she's married now, but the ceremony was really nice and the reception was alot of fun. everything went smoothly as well, and on the whole it was an enjoyable time. it was a little stressful and annoying helping her get ready for everything the week before hand, but alas, i suppose these are the things we younger sisters must suffer through.
in other scintillating news, i am off for my camp training in about 15 minutes. i am unsure how to contain my excitement over the imminent reception of both staff shirts and a printed guide of camp rules and regulations. i am looking forward to the job though, if not the training.
i am happy today because yesterday i bought pretty new earrings (beckie, you will like them i think, they are similar to the ones your sister gave you, but the stone-thingy is greenish and they are not as big) which i am wearing and some fun new sandals made out of buffalo hide, for only $8. they are funny sandals in a good way and i really like them, but in order to get them to fit my feet right i had to get them wet and then let them dry to my feet, and they're taking forever to dry so right now im just kind of walking around in damp sandals. good times kids, good times.
| well, im working on updating more frequently. its not really working out, but what can you do. i would just like to say that i do still read your xangas (mark and gret, my only remaining readers) and i often thoroughly enjoy them.
i also am sad i didnt get to see mark when he was in houghton, but i did see gret, and regretably i was incapable of behaving normally. sorry about that gretsky. haha, and i DID have the pleasure this mayterm of going to the HOtel, but i went sans jason, gret, or beck, therefore the experience just wasnt the same. i think we need to do it up before beck and i graduate.
i finally have a job for the summer, which is good, and i am looking forward to it even though i'm not going to be making practically any money. atleast hopefully i will be having fun.
right now i am up in rhode island and i'm a little weirded out because my sister's fiancee's friend is here, which isnt weird in and of itself, but from when i saw him i thought he looked like someone, and it just occured to me recently that he looks similar to edi. and thats just weird.
anyway, i hope everyone has a good time this summer
and mark, i was really glad to see you know the exact date of your last mcdonalds fajita
| i just thought i'd post to switch things up a little. i mean, sure i havent written in 5 months, but whatever. my birthday is in like a week. im not really very excited about it, but i figure it will be handy to be 21. beckie is away this weekend with jon miller, and i've had a pretty good (and kind of funny) weekend, but now i wish they'd come back cause im bored and i want to smoke their cigarettes becauuuuuuse i dont have anymore.
friday night was funny cause phil came down and we rocked out to lattice and then to the hotel. it made me laugh to be there because i'd never been and then i wished beckie and jason were there because we always used to talk about how you have to go to the HOtel. ah well. i was sad my friend meggie didnt come this weekend, but alas, what can you do. phil makes me laugh alot, because he is ridiculous. the whole situation was comical.
i have nothing really to say, this semester has been pretty craptastical. it went by really fast and i had some fun, but on the whole i probably would've been happier if i could have gone back to london. then i'd have gotten to go to amsterdam with meg and alex too, and that would've been fun. then i could've rocked out with school home and home home there. good times kids.
| im really enjoying my classes and im glad about that. my narative and personal essay class is pretty awesome, and i like it because its all about reading/writing the kind of writings that i've been doing on my own for years without ever really realizing what sort of essay i was writing. its harder for me to write these things about specific assignments rather than just the kind of memory/thought thats on my mind. and i really hate the first thing i had to write for class cause it was unbelievably lame, but in theory i enjoy the class.
my psychology of personality class is awesome too. just its interesting to find all the things that make people work, and perhaps i can figure out some things about myself too. and the homework for the class is interesting cause its mostly stuff like, answering questions about memories or past experiences or recording dreams. and thats kind of neat.
in other news, i dont really have other news. beckie and i are broke already, which isnt really shocking or eventful. its sad. im thoroughly enjoying the apartment. and now i must go shgc and tell my friends important information.
